How To Achieve Greatness

                                                      "How to Achieve Greatness"
Everyone has a different vision of success in life. Your greatness can be defined as anything you wish; you simply need to do some self-reflection to decide what is most important to you.
Here are some questions you might ask yourself:
* How important is financial wealth to me?
* Is having a happy or large family the most important thing in my life?
* Are there certain skills or gifts that I would like to master?
* When I die, what will be the most important goal I achieved?

How To Achieve Your Goals:
It doesn't really matter what you've set as your true calling, maybe it's becoming a millionaire, living on the beach, or having a large family. The most important thing is that you have found your definition of greatness that personally applies to you.
Your next step is to form an action plan on how to achieve this goal. It may take a lifetime, but the only way you're going to get there is with a plan!

Think Less Do More:
It's easy to get lost in your thoughts and plans, but you won't achieve greatness by daydreaming alone. You need to take some powerful action to get there! Greatness won't just fall into your lap - you need to work hard in order to get there.

Small Steps:
Your definition of greatness is probably a lofty, multi-year goal, which can be a very intimidating and daunting task. But it doesn't have to be so bad when you plan things out day by day in small, manageable steps.
It's vital to take life day by day and, at the same time, keep the bigger picture in mind. When you set and achieve your small daily goals, you'll build momentum without getting too overwhelmed.
Surrounded Yourself With Good People:
It's always great to be in the company of good, positive people. When you have someone you can look up to and model, you're bringing yourself one step closer to greatness.
It's also a good idea to be surrounded by people who can inspire, motivate, and encourage you. My biggest advice to you is to keep the negative, complaining type out of your life. Those people won't bring you anywhere good!

Setbacks:
It's common to run into setbacks on your way to greatness. Things are not always going to turn out like you expect, but that is part of the journey to your success! When you hit a snag in the road, you need to pick yourself up, change course, and forge on.
Of course, you'll want to maintain a high level of enthusiasm toward your goal. If a setback has got you down in the dumps, take a short break, then trudge along again! Don't allow anything to get in the way of your goals.
You Are Already There
Every once in awhile it's important to take a step back and reflect at your life. Are you enjoying your life and your journey? If so, then you're actually already living your dream.

Remember: All you'll ever have is the present moment. If you like where you are and where you're going, greatness is already yours!

Raise Expectation of Yourself

"How to Raise Your Expectations of Yourself "
Raising your own personal expectations can enable you to accomplish more than you ever thought possible. The trick is to learn how to push yourself to greater heights without pushing yourself over the edge.
Why Raise Your Expectations?
If you're perfectly happy with your current situation in life, you might be wondering why you'd want to raise your expectations. Well, when you expect more, you'll drive yourself to achieve that much more.
Think about a time when you've expected nothing out of a situation. Chances are you weren't unhappy with the results because you didn't really care, but at the same time you probably weren't driven and fulfilled either.
While having greater expectations opens you up and make you more vulnerable to failure, there are also big rewards too. It's worth it in the end because a negative experience is still an experience that you can learn from. A positive experience may provide you with one of those life-defining moments that make you happy to be alive.
Here are some excellent ways to raise your expectations of yourself:
  1. Do difficult things. Pushing your limits can only be achieved by doing difficult things. You might not find success right away, but when you do, it can be the starting place for doing even bigger and better things in the future.
  2. Expand your comfort zone. Staying comfortable is another way of continually playing it safe. When you expand your comfort zone, you open yourself up to new and exciting things. You'll then come to expect more from yourself just because you're comfortable with more.
  3. Challenge yourself. Set yourself up with a specific challenge or make a dare with yourself. If you're dared to do something, you pretty much have to do it!
  4. Take a survival course. Taking a survival course can show you how to get back to the basics. These courses are not just about basic survival, they can also teach you about yourself. You can learn more about your abilities and strengths, and then continue to challenge yourself in the future.
  5. Learn new things. Work on being a more open and adaptable person. When you do, you may find that new experiences and situations simply fall into your lap. It's an easy way of broadening your horizons, and with new knowledge and skills under your belt, you'll be able to raise the expectations of what you can do.
Higher expectations for yourself also raise your self-esteem. What you think you can achieve is very important because it decides what you will achieve. When you raise the bar, you enable yourself to do more and be more than before.
Remember that your thoughts are very powerful. When you make the effort to raise your expectations, you're also strengthening your self-worth and abilities. You'll see yourself in a positive light and be better able to achieve your ultimate goals.
Try these strategies to help you raise your expectations of yourself and enjoy the pride and fulfillment that come with doing great things!

Understanding anxiety is one of the first steps to help overcome it. This video will help you understand the reason why anxiety starts, the pattern it takes on and how to help stop it.
Anxiety is a habituated pattern; it all starts with one situation and it keeps going and going. Hypnosis is one of the most powerful ways to stop the pattern and to arm yourself with helpful tools, so that once that feeling of anxiousness starts up again you can stop it.

Mental Ways to Lower Anxiety

Mental Ways to Lower Anxiety
A positive mental attitude is just as important as using physical techniques to help overcome your anxiety. There are many ways you can use your mental resources to find peace and calm amidst the chaos of anxiety.
Follow these techniques to tackle your anxiety on a mental level:
1. Educate yourself. It's hard to battle something you don't understand. Learn about your condition so you have a better understanding of what you're facing.
2. Use the stop sign. Imagine a big stop sign in your head when you start to have anxious thoughts. The stop sign technique is a great place to start.
3. Network. Talking to others with anxiety can help you feel more "normal" and bring you additional strategies that have worked for others in your same situation. Reach out to others!
4. Set aside a worry time. If you allot a few minutes each day at a set time and give yourself permission to worry only at that time, you'll soon find that it becomes a chore - making you worry less. By only allowing yourself to worry for a short period, you can program your mind to actually worry less.
5. Offer yourself affirmations. Say positive statements to yourself each day to help you stay strong and brave. For example: "I am a valuable and worthy person, and I have much to offer to the world."
No matter how long you've had anxiety, you can do something about it. When you apply both mental and physical techniques to getting better, you'll soon find that you - not your anxiety - are the one in control!

What Side Of The "What If?" Paradox Are You On?

Why don't people achieve their goals? It's not always due to procrastination, it's not always due to lack of resources. It's usually because of one thing... FEAR!

Some people have a fear of failure whereas others have a fear of success, and this is because of one dreaded question... What if? I see it with my clients every day. They say "well, I want to do this, but what if I put all of this time and effort into this, and it doesn't turn out right," or "what if I get overwhelmed?"

People are usually on the negative side of "what if." In this video, I share a powerful strategy that will help... Stay on the up side of the "What If Paradox!"
If you need help acheiveing your goals, or getting over fear or anxiety and gaining confidence, schedule a free strategy session with Dan by calling 508-393-8690 and mention how you saw the "What If Paradox!"
